Join Esther Ewing, M.Ed for a full day intensive workshop based on
a certified team change process “Naming Elephants”
 

A combination of presentations, interactive exercises and practical techniques for making teams more effective, in this workshop you will have the opportunity to:
- Understand the source of untapped productivity in the form of questions that are not being addressed
- Understand the value of identifying and sharing assumptions in team discussions
- Understand the applicability of issue-naming to identifying risk

This interactive session is for OD Professionals who want to help their organization or clients build strategic capability and success from within.

Attendees will …
- Learn the skills critical to making key issues explicit in a team
- Practice these skills with a fun simulation where the stakes are low so that you are prepared when the stakes are higher
- Begin to build a useful language for raising these issues
- Know how to look for saying/doing gaps in your teams’ work
- Gain techniques for getting even the most reticent to contribute their ideas
- Discuss ideas for alleviating the imbalance between the boss’ ideas and those of staff
- Consider how this can be applied to many different functions ranging from risk management to customer service to operations or human resources
- Begin an action plan to begin to raise issues in your own organization

Presenter
Esther Ewing, M. Ed. helps organizations build their strategic capability through facilitating change.  She works with organizations to maximize their effectiveness through coaching teams, coaching leaders and facilitating effective change processes and has consulted to a number of organizations in many different sectors including insurance, healthcare, pharmaceutical, banking, real estate management, technology, telecommunications, theatre, education, and resource.

A major aspect of Esther’s practice is her collaboration with PanoMetrics, who have developed a web-based, customized 360-degree feedback tool.  In addition to using this tool as a catalyst for her coaching of leaders and teams, Esther consults to organizations to assist them in the integration of this tool in their performance management system.

Esther is also certified in change methodologies including Open Space Technology, Team Management Systems, Kolbe Indices, and Core Process.

Esther believes in the ability of individuals to grow in ways they didn’t expect and takes great satisfaction from the fun of seeing others get excited about their own capability.  She holds a Masters of Adult Education from OISE, at the University of Toronto with a focus in Developing Human Resources.
